What these terms cover
These terms apply to the aisk.chat website and to the Aisk WordPress plugin (“Aisk”, “the plugin”). By using the website or installing the plugin, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
License
Aisk is free software, distributed through WordPress.org under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPLv2+). You may use, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that license. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL gives you.
Your OpenAI key and costs
Aisk uses your own OpenAI API key. Requests made by the plugin are billed to your OpenAI account, and you are responsible for those costs and for keeping your key secure. We don’t resell AI usage or charge for the plugin.
Third-party services
The plugin connects to external services such as OpenAI, and optionally Twilio (WhatsApp) and Telegram. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. See Privacy & data for the full list and what data each one receives.
Your responsibilities
- Use Aisk in line with the law and with the terms of the services you connect it to.
- Tell your site visitors how their chat data is processed, for example in your own privacy policy.
- Don’t use Aisk to send spam, collect data unlawfully, or harm others.
- Keep backups of your WordPress site before installing or updating plugins.
AI-generated replies
Replies from the chatbot are generated by AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review your knowledge base and settings, and don’t rely on AI replies for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. You are responsible for the content your chatbot shows to your customers.
No warranty
The website and the plugin are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aisk.chat and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost data, lost revenue, or third-party charges (including OpenAI usage) arising from your use of the website or the plugin.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the website or plugin after an update means you accept the new terms.
